We just had to share this video of an impressive rescue by crane as a very skilled crane operator managed to save a baby deer that had gotten itself stuff in a field of mud. We have to admire the skill of the operator as he deftly cleared the surrounding mud without burying the frightened animal, then gently scooped the baby up from where she had gotten stuck, transported her to a safe area, then cheered her own as she shook off the mud and pranced away to hopefully rejoin her family. Considering the sheer size, weight and strength of the equipment and the delicate nature of the deer, this operator deserves a big round of applause!
